Karen @ The Art of Doing Stuff makes me laugh pretty much every day. Yesterday she had a post that may still apply to you Northern viewers. It's a little late to be starting anything indoors here in the South, and our last frost date is typically around the first day of April.
DISCLAIMER: Actual last frost date is April 19th for zone 7b. However, 90% chance that any frost on the tomatillos is gone till fall.

I spent a small fortune on peat pots, peat pellets and plastic cups with a hole poked in bottom for drainage. Check out a cheaper way to make containers to start your veggies indoors, and tell Karen I said hello.
